steam cream 2

Steam Cream – £12.95

Steam Cream has been an ‘it’ product for quite a while now.  Their various designs of eco-friendly tins have made Steam Cream become a cult product.  But it’s what’s inside the tin that really impresses me!

The cream is so light to use, it smells amazing and hydrates my skin immediately.  It contains orange flower water, lavender essential oil, cocoa butter, oatmeal infusion and rose absolute.  Steam is then used to fuse these natural ingredients together and it’s this process that gives the cream it’s ‘lightness’.

Clarins Eye Revive Beauty Flash – £28.00

I love this product; it’s light, refreshing and cooling for my tired eyes!  It soaks into the skin like a dream and you can feel the skin tightening slightly as soon as it begins to absorb. The skin feels smooth and hydrated and visually the eyes appear more ‘awake’ after application. It is a product that I like to have nearby in case my eyes need a little ‘pick-me-up’.  It is expensive at £28.00 but the 3ml version can be found in many Clarins gift sets. For example, The Wonder Length Gift Set ,£25, which includes full size Wonder Length mascara, 3ml Eye Revive Beauty Flash and also Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch Make-up Base 4ml. A similar set was given to me from my Sister-In-Law.

Balance Active Formula Wrinkle-Free Serum – £4.91

This serum has 4% SYN®- AKE. The new buzz ingredient in any anti wrinkle product. But what is it? It is an ingredient that mimics the muscle freezing effect of the venom of a Snake. It promises to be a needle-free alternative to botox, and it will reduce expression lines and wrinkles – FABULOUS! Does it work? Talking strictly about the Balance Active Formula, it certainly has had an effect my forehead feels more taught than before but not as much as I would have hoped for. Possibly this is because it is a cheaper alternative to the Rodial Glamoxy Snake Serum or the Transformula’s Wrinkle Block that both contain the same SYN®-AKE ingredient. I will have to investigate further.

Imperialis Facial Moisturiser

Imperialis Facial Moisturiser by Lush – £12.50

When I first tried this cream I had high expectations as I love Lush products and this moisturizer sounded perfect for my combination skin. Having used this product for one month I have witnessed some really pleasant changes. My favourite being that my skin feels far more smooth and soft than ever before. It feels like feeding the skin with really high quality essential oils and I feel like I’m doing something good for my skin as well as the environment. I have definitely noticed my skin has become less dull than before, and my pores have decreased, which was what I was hoping for.
